TruthVita -- Cycle and Wellness App
1. Introduction
TruthVita respects the privacy of its users and recognizes that health and wellness information can be sensitive.
This Privacy Policy explains what information TruthVita collects, how it is used, when it may be shared with service providers, and the choices available to users.
By creating an account or using TruthVita, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
TruthVita collects information that users provide, information generated through their use of the app, and limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the service.
Account Information
When you create or use a TruthVita account, we may process:
- Name
- Email address
- Account identifier
- Email-verification status
- Session information
- Sign-in timestamps
- IP address
- Device user-agent information
TruthVita currently uses email verification or one-time-password authentication. TruthVita does not require users to create a traditional account password within the mobile app.
Profile and Wellness Information
Depending on the information you choose to provide, TruthVita may process:
- Age
- Height and weight
- Wellness goals
- Health conditions
- Menstrual-cycle dates
- Average cycle length
- Period duration
- Symptoms
- Mood and energy information
- Sleep information
- Water intake
- Meals and nutrition information
- Workout and activity information
- Weight history
- Supplement-intake records
- Fasting history
- Journey and task progress
- Notes and other wellness information entered into the app
You decide which optional wellness information to enter.
Photos and User Content
When you use the Meal Scanner, you may select or capture a meal image for analysis.
TruthVita may also process:
- Meal descriptions
- Images selected for meal analysis
- Messages entered into the Vita AI Coach
- Notes, prompts, and other content you voluntarily submit
Meal images are transmitted for AI analysis only after you initiate the scan and have granted the required third-party AI consent.
Motion and Fitness Information
If you grant Motion and Fitness permission, TruthVita may access step-count information through your device's supported motion services.
TruthVita does not access this information unless you grant the relevant device permission.
Subscription Information
When you purchase or manage a subscription, TruthVita may receive information such as:
- Subscription product
- Entitlement status
- Purchase status
- Trial status
- Renewal status
- Expiration date
- Platform and app-store information
Payment-card details are processed by Apple or the applicable app-store payment provider. TruthVita does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information.
3. How We Use Information
TruthVita may use information to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts
- Provide cycle and wellness tracking features
- Store and restore health and wellness logs
- Display user-entered history and progress
- Provide app reminders and local notifications
- Process subscription access
- Provide user-requested AI features
- Maintain app functionality and security
- Investigate technical problems and prevent misuse
- Respond to support and privacy requests
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations
TruthVita does not use personal information for unrelated advertising purposes.
4. Third-Party Artificial Intelligence Processing
TruthVita offers optional features that use third-party artificial intelligence providers.
The currently supported providers are:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
TruthVita requires the user's permission before personal or wellness information is transmitted to these providers.
OpenAI Features
OpenAI may be used to provide features such as:
- Daily Wellness Snapshot
- Truth Bite
- Health Recommendations
- Meal Scanner analysis
Depending on the feature selected, information sent to OpenAI may include:
- Name
- Cycle context
- Sleep information
- Water intake
- Workout information
- Mood and symptom information
- Meal activity
- Completed wellness tasks
- Derived wellness metrics
- A meal image selected by the user
Only information needed for the selected feature is included in the request.
Meal images are transmitted only after the user selects or captures an image, grants AI-processing consent, and initiates the scan.
Anthropic Features
Anthropic may be used to provide the Vita AI Coach.
Information sent to Anthropic may include:
- Name
- Cycle context
- Messages entered by the user
- Selected prompts
- Current AI Coach conversation history
AI Consent Choices
Before using third-party AI features, users are shown information explaining:
- Which provider receives the information
- What categories of information may be sent
- Why the information is needed
- When the transmission occurs
Users may agree to or decline third-party AI processing.
Declining consent prevents the applicable AI requests while allowing the user to continue using non-AI portions of the app.
5. Local Storage and Backend Synchronization
TruthVita uses both local device storage and backend storage.
Some information, preferences, progress, and feature state may be stored locally on your device.
Certain authenticated health and wellness logs may also be synchronized with TruthVita's backend so they can be restored and used across app sessions.
Synchronized information may include:
- Period and symptom logs
- Mood logs
- Meal logs
- Workout logs
- Weight logs
- Water logs
- Sleep logs
- Supplement-intake logs
Not all information stored locally is necessarily synchronized with the backend.
Removing the app from your device may remove locally stored app data, but it does not by itself guarantee deletion of information already synchronized with TruthVita's backend.
6. Service Providers
TruthVita may share information with service providers only when reasonably necessary to operate the app and provide requested features.
These providers may include:
- OpenAI for supported AI wellness and meal-analysis features
- Anthropic for the Vita AI Coach
- RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management
- Apple for App Store subscriptions and payment processing
- Authentication and email-delivery providers
- Backend infrastructure and database providers
- Technical service providers supporting app operation and security
7. Sale of Personal Information and Targeted Advertising
TruthVita does not sell personal information.
TruthVita does not use personal health or wellness information for targeted advertising.
TruthVita does not currently integrate third-party advertising networks.
8. Analytics and Crash Reporting
As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, TruthVita does not use a third-party advertising analytics, Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar production crash-reporting service in the mobile app.
TruthVita may maintain limited server and application logs necessary for security, troubleshooting, authentication, and service operation.
9. Notifications and Device Permissions
TruthVita may request permission to schedule local notifications for features such as:
- Cycle reminders
- Fasting-timer reminders
- Daily wellness reminders
These notifications are scheduled through supported device functionality.
You may disable notifications or other device permissions through your device settings.
TruthVita may also request access to:
- Photos or camera when you choose to use meal-image features
- Motion and Fitness information when you choose to use step-count features
10. Data Retention
TruthVita retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the service
- Maintain an active account
- Fulfill user requests
- Resolve disputes
- Protect the service from fraud or abuse
- Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, or security requirements
When an account-deletion request is verified, TruthVita will delete the account and associated synchronized personal and health information within 30 days, except where limited information must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute-resolution, or security purposes.
11. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion through the Delete Account option within the app.
A verified deletion request will initiate deletion of the TruthVita account, associated profile information, synchronized health and wellness logs stored by TruthVita, and server-side sessions and account records except where retention is legally required.
12. Data Security
TruthVita uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no electronic storage, device storage, network transmission, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. User Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law and technical availability, users may request to:
- Access information associated with their account
- Correct inaccurate profile information
- Withdraw AI-processing consent
- Disable notifications and device permissions
- Cancel a subscription through the applicable app store
- Request account and data deletion
- Ask questions about how personal information is processed

TruthVita is not intended to be used by children without the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where such permission is required by applicable law.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
TruthVita may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to app functionality, new service providers, changes to data practices, legal or regulatory requirements, and security or operational updates.
